This policy explains how HowMaker uses cookies and similar browser storage on HowMaker.

Essential storage

Essential storage supports secure sign-in, session state, CSRF protection, account security, requested interface preferences and your cookie choice. These functions are needed to provide the service or a setting you requested.

Optional analytics

HowMaker can enable analytics or measurement code in approved custom-code areas. Analytics-classified code is withheld until the visitor accepts analytics where consent is required. If no optional analytics is enabled, HowMaker does not load analytics code through this consent system.

What we store

Storage can include a session identifier, security values, interface preferences and a record of your cookie choice. Optional analytics providers can set their own identifiers after consent. Exact names and lifetimes depend on the configured provider and browser.

Your choice

Where optional analytics is enabled, use Cookie settings in the website footer to choose Essential only or accept analytics. You can change the choice later. Browser settings also let you remove stored cookies and site data, although removing essential session data can sign you out.

Third-party content

Some optional features can connect to external services. Those services can use their own storage when the feature is opened or used. Their own privacy and cookie information applies to that processing.
